Abstract:In this paper, two methods to design frequencyresponse-masking (FRM) FIR digital filters with discrete coefficients obtained from optimal continuous coefficients are investigated. First, a one-by-one (OBO) quantization from optimal continuous coefficients is described. Then, a novel recursion design (RD) is presented, which reduces computation by searching only possible quantization sequence in next recursion from the minimum magnitude response error in last recursion. To decrease current magnitude response er… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
