Abstract:A voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) with low phase noise and low power dissipation for subharmonic mixing is proposed. A cross-coupled negativeresistance circuit with nMOS transistors in the feedback is adopted to suppress high-order harmonics. According to this proposed structure, low phase noise can be achieved under low power dissipation. The VCO chip including a cross-coupled differential buffers (not shown in this work) is implemented in 0.13 µm CMOS process under a supply voltage of 1.2 V and consumes … Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
