Design optimization of micromachined ferroelectric-based phase shifter using modified ground coplanar waveguide

Abstract: ABSTRACT:In this paper, a new approach to optimally design a phase shifter consisting of a periodic array of ferroelectric-based tunable planar interdigital capacitors (IDCs) is presented. Spiral slots in the proposed configuration reduces the overall size and improves the performance by 30%.
