Abstract:Background: Desquamation interstitial pneumonia (DIP) is a rare type of idiopathic interstitial pneumonia. High resolution computed tomography (HRCT) shows ground glass opacities without the peripheral reticular opacities characteristic of usual interstitial pneumonia (UIP).
