“…Petrological studies have demonstrated that the UHP metamorphic conditions in the Dabie orogen are 2.8-4.1 GPa and 670-800°C (Okay, 1993;Cong et al, 1995;Carswell et al, 1997Carswell et al, , 2000Li et al, 2004), resulting in the formation of UHP index minerals such as coesite (Okay et al, 1989;Wang et al, 1989Wang et al, , 1992 and microdiamond (Xu et al, 1992(Xu et al, , 2003(Xu et al, , 2005. Because of the crustal detachment during subduction and exhumation of the continental crust, different grades of metamorphic rocks occur in the Dabie orogen (Zheng et al, 2005a;Liu and Li, 2008;Zheng, 2008). Thus, this orogen is subdivided, from north to south, into five lithotectonic units as follows: (1) the Beihuaiyang low-T/low-P greenschist-facies zone, (2) the North Dabie high-T/UHP granulite-facies zone with migmatization, (3) the Central Dabie mid-T/UHP eclogite-facies zone, (4) the South Dabie low-T/UHP eclogite-facies zone, (5) the Susong low-T/HP blueschist-facies zone.…”
