Abstract:The aim of this study was to detect and differentiate equine herpes virus type-1 (EHV-1) and type-4 (EHV-4) by polymerase chain reaction (PCR). The diagnostic sensitivity of the PCR was also examined. For this purpose, suspicious samples obtained from different breeding farms and racehorse hospitals were used.
