Detecting lithospheric discontinuities beneath the Mississippi Embayment using S-wave receiver functions

Abstract: Identifying upper-mantle discontinuities in the Central and Eastern US is crucial for verifying models of lithospheric thinning and a low-velocity anomaly structure beneath the Mississippi Embayment.
