Abstract: Porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2) is strongly linked to a group of syndromes referred to as porcine-circovirus-associated diseases (PCVADs), which are controlled through vaccination; however, this does not induce sterilizing immunity but is instead involved in the evolution of the virus and is considered a factor in vaccine failure.
