Abstract:Objective
The detection of autoantibodies is essential to diagnose autoimmune hepatitis (AIH). Particularly in children, specificity of autoantibodies decreases due to lower titers being diagnostic and being present not only in AIH but also in other liver diseases. Recently, quantification of polyreactive IgG (pIgG) for detection of adult AIH showed the highest overall accuracy compared to antinuclear antibodies (ANA), anti-smooth muscle antibodies (anti-SMA), anti-liver kidney microsomal antibod… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
