Though a Tanzania × Beauregard population (Cervantes‐Flores, Yencho, Kriegner, et al., ) has been used to map quantitative trait loci (QTL) for root‐knot nematode resistance, dry matter, starch, and β‐carotene content (Cervantes‐Flores, Yencho, Pecota, Sosinski, & Mwanga, ; Cervantes‐Flores et al., ), drought tolerance traits have not yet been investigated in this population.
