The Raspberry Pi microcomputer is a practical tool whose shape and size are relatively mini with very complex uses, many say that the Raspberry Pi is similar to a mini computer, with many functions that can meet various human needs as a microcontroller server to digital image processing. This study aims to meet the needs in the field of practicality, especially practicality in employee absenteeism, considering that current attendances are mostly still using handwritten manuals or finger prints, where the Covid-19 pandemic condition like this is very vulnerable because it can transmit the virus through touch marks. By utilizing the Rasberry Pi Microcomputer as a processor and a webcam as a tool for recording and detecting faces, it will then be processed by the rasberry pi using the OpenCV library to detect faces and distinguish human faces or not, then facial recognition will be processed using the LBP (Local Binary Pattern) method. . After that, if the face is recognized by the system, it will be processed and entered into the mySQL database. Furthermore, it will be entered into the table as attendance according to the time the face is detected. And if the face is not recognized by the system, it will still be processed but will be entered into the database table as a guest according to the time the face was detected.
