Abstract

This paper continues our work [1] on the effect of different factors (charge diameter, density, the presence and properties of a sheath) on the detonation parameters of commercial ammonite 6ZhV.The detonation parameters of ammonite VA -4 and "skal'nyi" fledge-rock) ammonite No. 1 were determined on commercial batches, the compositions of which are given in Table 1. For comparison this table also gives the composition of ammonite 6ZhV.The density of the ammonite VA-4 charges was 0.92 g/cm s, that of "skal'nyi" No. 1 0.95 g/cm 3. Table 2 gives the results of an experimental determination of the detonation parameters. Each value is the average of three or four experiments. The ideal values of the parameters (d -. ~o) were obtained by extrapolating the curves of the corresponding values versus the reciprocal of the diameter k 1/d = 0.
