Determination of absorption spectrum and cutoff wavelengths for a quantum well solar cell (inas/gaas) in dynamic frequency regime from quantum yields
Abstract:In this work, we present a method determination the best absorbed spectrum by the materials constituting the heterojunction of quantum well solar cell and cutoff wavelengths depending on modulation frequency. Using quantum yields, the study showed that emitter (GaAs) absorbs short wavelengths more easily (visible) while the base (InAS) absorbs longer wavelengths more easily (infrared). The cut-off wavelength corresponding to absorption maximum is determined according to frequency.
