Determination of Acetone by Sensitized Room Temperature Phosphorimetry in Aqueous Solution

Abstract: A sensitized room temperature phosphorimetric method for the determination of acetone in solution was developed for the first time. Acetone was excited at 274 nm and the phosphorescence intensity emitted from biacetyl, the energy acceptor, was measured at 515 nm. The calibration curve was linear over the concentration range of 2.
