Abstract:Methods have been developed for the determination of aluminum, barium, calcium, lead, magnesium and silver in ferrous alloys and steels by flame emission and atomic absorption spectrometry. The samples are dissolved in a mixture of nitric, hydrochloric, hydrofluoric, and perchloric acids. Flame emission spectrometry with repetitive optical scanning was found to be the method of choice for the determination of aluminum, barium, and calcium at the trace or subtrace levels. Atomic absorption spectrometry was used… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
