Abstract:Wavelength-resolved neutron transmission experiments are useful for characterizing the microstructure of macroscopic specimens with 2D spatial resolution perpendicular to the beam direction. The crystallographic texture can affect the neutron transmission in the thermal neutron energy range, which manifests as changes in the shape and height of Bragg edges as a function of neutron wavelength. Models have been proposed to predict the transmission of textured polycrystalline materials from knowledge of the mater… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
