Abstract:Th is is the fi rst study to determine the calorifi c value of the condensed graft copolymer of chitosan with poly (2-ethylhexyl acrylate) at Т = 298.15 K by combustion calorimetry. Th e empirical data obtained were used to calculate standard enthalpy of combustion and enthalpy of formation of the condensed tested compound at Т = 298.15 K. Th e resulting thermochemical properties were analyzed and compared with the data for previously studied chitosan copolymers and the starter chitosan.
