Determination of Metallic Copper and Cuprous Oxide in Commercial Cuprous Oxide Pigments

Abstract: Cuprous oxide is readily soluble in cold, dilute aqueous hydrochloric acid, cupric oxide is slightly soluble, and metallic copper is very slightly soluble.
