Determination of Metallic Copper and Cuprous Oxide in Commercial Cuprous Oxide Pigments

Abstract

Cuprous oxide is readily soluble in cold, dilute aqueous hydrochloric acid, cupric oxide is slightly soluble, and metallic copper is very slightly soluble.
