Determination of sulpiride in pharmaceutical preparations and biological fluids using a Cr (III) enhanced chemiluminescence method

Abstract: A highly sensitive and simple method for identifying sulpiride in pharmaceutical formulations and biological fluids is presented. The method is based on increased chemiluminescence (CL) intensity of a luminol-H2O2 system in response to the addition of Cr (III) under alkaline conditions. The CL intensity of the luminol-H2O2-Cr (III) system was greatly enhanced by the addition of sulpiride and the CL intensity was proportional to the concentration of sulpiride in a sample solution. Various parameters affecting t… Show more

“…Similarly, Huet al [169] developed a new LCL-based method for the quantification of lincomycin hydrochloride in human serum. A highly sensitive and simple method based on increased CL intensity of a luminol–H 2 O 2 system has been used for determination of sulpiride content in drugs and biological fluids [170]. …”

“…To the above discussion, the new method has some advantages over the reported methods in the literature. Accordingly, there is a method for selective quantification of SIT using a fluorescence probe, but it was a selective quantification approach in biological fluids [23]. Krishnan et al.…”

“…34,35 Chemiluminescence (CL) is a powerful analytical technique with widespread applications in numerous fields because of its high sensitivity, rapidity, wide linear range, high signal to noise ratios (due to the absence of a light source), instrumental simplicity and affordability, and the comparative absence of toxic effects. [36][37][38][39][40][41] On the other hand, carbon nanotube (CNT) materials are attracting considerable research interest. In particular, in addi-…”
