Determination of the Deformation inC12from Electron Scattering

Abstract: Gersten [Phys. Rev. Lett. 26, 1000 (1971]. In Table I, the value of m 6 should be given as 962 MeV 0 On page 1003, in the formula for P -A, h{6) should be starred, i.e., P -The formula at the bottom of page 1003 which relates the time-reversal violating amplitude t(0) to the scattering T matrix is incorrect and should be replaced byThe correct formula for t{6) was used in all calculations of experimental observables, hence our tables and graphs stand correct as published. However, the sequence of inequalities … Show more

“…F p (q 2 ) is a correction factor for the proton size for which we employ F p (q 2 ) = exp(−a 2 p q 2 /6) with a p = 0.831 fm. To correct the center-of-mass motion, we simply assume that the center-of-mass motion is separated and described by the harmonic oscillator wave function of the same oscillator constant,hω = 41A [43], and crosses with error bars show experimental results [39][40][41][42]. For the elastic form factor, we also show that of Skyrme HF solution in the ground state.…”
