In this study, both the business structure and the socio-economic structures of the employees in 13 active aquaculture processing plants operating in Istanbul were examined and it was aimed to reveal the data in social and economic terms. In the study, a 24-question questionnaire for employees and a 15-question questionnaire to evaluate the business structure were presented. It was seen that 52% of the employees were men and 48% were women and 34.29% were in the 31-40 age range. It was found that 73.14% of the respondents were married and most of them lived in apartments under 120m2. In the multiple compliance analyzes, it was determined that there was a relationship between education level and the number of social media uses, and between monthly income and job satisfaction. It was determined that 31% of the 13 enterprises in the study had an export permit and that the HACCP system was applied in all of them. It was seen that only 38% of the enterprises received state support. The problems and solution proposals of the sector are also put forward in titles. Turkey's aquaculture sector and the processing plants connected to this sector are very important in economic terms. With the two different survey applications used, both a different perspective on employee data and important data on general problems within the scope of the facility were revealed. When the importance of Istanbul and the aquaculture processing sector is considered, the originality of the study is revealed.

In this study, the socio-economic status of the employees who work in the seafood processing plants operating in the Black Sea region provinces was examined in order to reveal the social and economic data. 37 enterprises, which have a production permit from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, are located in 7 provinces in the Black Sea region, where 18 provinces are located. It has been studied with 532 interviewers in 28 companies that are actively operating, with a participation of 24 questions each. 19 of the enterprises work for fish and fish products, 4 are for snails, and 5 are for fish flour and oil processing plants. 63.9% of the employees are male. When we look at the distribution of the employees’ age groups, the rate of 31-40 years was the highest with a percentage of 36.64%. Regarding the education levels, it is seen that the secondary school graduates constitute the highest rate with a percentage of 38.91%. It has been detected that 99.62% of the employees have social security, and all of them take advantage of the social security institution. For the marital status, it is determined that 73.50% of the employees are married.

Bu çalışmada Göller Bölgesi’nin su ürünleri üretiminde lider konumda olan Antalya, Isparta ve Afyonkarahisar’da faaliyet gösteren toplam 13 su ürünleri işleme tesisi incelenmiştir. Çalışma için önceden belirlenen soruların bulunduğu anket formu hazırlanmıştır. Ankette işletmelerin kuruluş tarihleri, kuruluş yerleri, kurulu kapasiteleri, personel durumu, hijyen durumu, iş güvenliği durumu, uluslararası almış oldukları kalite belgeleri, hammadde temin şekilleri, işleme yöntemleri, üretim ve ihracat durumu ve işleme tesislerinin karşılaşmış oldukları problemler ile ilgili bilgilere yer verilmiştir.Anket sonuçlarına göre genel olarak işleme tesislerinin Isparta ve Afyonkarahisar’da eşit şekilde dağılım gösterdiği belirlenmiştir. Antalya’da 5, Isparta ve Afyonkarahisar’da 4’er tesis yerinde ziyaret edilerek anket formları doldurulmuştur. Tesislerde bayan işçiler daha çok olmak üzere daimi işçiler çalışmaktadır. Sorumlu yöneticilerin çoğunu su ürünleri mühendisleri oluşturmaktadır. Tesislerin tümünde HACCP uygulanmakta olup hijyen eğitimini almış, iş güvenliği eğitiminden geçmiş personel çalışmaktadır. Tesislerde iş güvenliği şirketleriyle anlaşmalı iş güvenliği uzmanı bulunmaktadır. Hammadde temininin hem yerli hem de yabancı üreticilerden karşılandığı tespit edilmiştir. Genellikle tüm tesislerin ihracat yaptığı tespit edilmiştir. En çok karşılaşılan problemler kalifiye elaman bulmaktaki güçlükler ve hammadde sıkıntısı olarak tespit edilmiştir.
