Determining MnxCdyHg1–x–yTe and ZnxCdyHg1–x–yTe material parametersby magnetophonon spectroscopy

Abstract: PACS 71.70.Di, 72.20.My Magnetophonon resonance was found to manifest itself in Mn 0.095 Cd 0.089 Hg 0.816 Te four-component solid solution. The main maximum is located at a magnetic field of about 8 T, which is considerably higher than in Zn x Cd y Hg 1-x-y Te of the same energy gap. Interpretation of this effect is based on s, p -d exchange interaction between the spin of free carriers and the localized magnetic moments of the Mn 2+ ions.
