Determining the Academic and Well-Being Needs of Students in Urban School Environments: A Delphi Study

Abstract: Research indicates that there is a discrepancy in academic outcomes between students attending school in urban environments and those attending school in suburban environments. “…All data collection is done within a framework of anonymity, which is crucial to the process. This "grass roots" approach makes the Delphi an appropriate method for engaging parents who might otherwise be hesitant to provide authentic, candid, and honest responses to an educational authority, especially one with whom they previously have not had a satisfactory relationship (Morgan et al, 2019).
