Determining the role of sources of knowledge and IT resources for stimulating firm innovation capability: a PLS-SEM approach

Abstract: PurposeDrawing on the knowledge-based view (KBV), the research examines the impact of knowledge sources (internal and external knowledge sources) on two aspects of innovation radical and incremental innovation. Additionally, the research seeks to provide deeper insight into the link between the variables by studying how information technology (IT) resources mediate the relationship between knowledge sources and innovation capability.Design/methodology/approachThe study assessed the relationship between latent … Show more

“…Based on previous studies, the current study expanded the knowledge process to understand the antecedent outcome of KM. In this concept, the study supports prior literature (Shehzad et al, 2022a); they studied that green implementation improves a firm's performance. The various factors validate the significant result of GT adoption and the KM process to support existing hypotheses (H1a and H1c).…”

“…Additionally, we used SmartPLS to carry out a complete collinearity assessment test. Reference [ 69 ] and several other social science scholars have claimed that this is a method that is comparatively accurate and effective [ 70 , 71 ]. All VIF values were substantially below the suggested cutoff of 5, indicating that this model does not suffer from the usual process bias [ 69 ].…”

“…Structural capital (SC) enables absorptive ability, evaluation and application of new information throughout the innovation process (Zahra and George, 2002). Shehzad et al. (2022a) demonstrated that Combined Reporting and Integrated Cognition can disseminate IC, illustrating how knowledge management systems can assist business processes in adopting emerging innovation.…”
