Abstract:Selective spatial isolation and manipulation of single chromosomes and the controlled formation of defined chromosome ensembles in a droplet-based microfluidic system is presented. The multifunctional microfluidic technology employs elastomer valves and membrane displacement traps to support deterministic manipulation of individual droplets.
