“…The STPP prototype presented moderate correlations with PI subscale and a very low correlations with CB subscales, in line both with the integrative techniques characterizing the short-term dynamic therapy and with the third-wave cognitive. The data appear encouraging and accord with both the literature on treatment prototypes (Ablon & Jones, 1998, 1999, 2000Leichsenring et al, 2015) and the results of the original validation study (Hilsenroth et al, 2005).…”

“…The present study used prototypes of psychodynamic, short-term psychodynamic, and cognitive-behavioural processes. Regarding the psychodynamic prototype, we adopted both the psychodynamic/psychoanalytic prototype (Ablon & Jones, 1998) and the STPP (Leichsenring et al, 2015) in order to better differentiate the specific dimensions within the dynamic area. As the PQS is able to limit some issues of subjectivity in empirical research, it has been successfully applied in studies drawing on a wide range of samples and methodologies (Ablon, Levy, & Smith-Hansen, 2011;Lingiardi et al, 2011).…”

“…An instrument to map these interaction structures is the Psychotherapy Process Q-Sort (PQS), developed by Ablon and Jones [15]. The PQS has previously been the topic of several empirical studies [16][17][18]. Some of this research has focused on single case studies.…”
