Developing an Equivalent Solid Material Model for BCC Lattice Cell Structures Involving Vertical and Horizontal Struts

Abstract: In this study, a body-centered cubic (BCC) lattice unit cell occupied inside a frame structure to create a so-called “InsideBCC” is considered. The equivalent quasi-isotropic properties required to describe the material behavior of the InsideBCC unit cell are equivalent Young’s modulus ( E e ) , equivalent shear modulus ( G e ) , and equivalent Poisson’s ratio ( ν e ) . The finite element analysis (FEA) based computational approach is used to simulate and calculate the me… Show more

“…ANSYS™ software was used for the finite element analysis and in particular, the static structural module was used to simulate the quasi-static loading. Generally, mesh generation for lattice structures could be implemented with two different types of elements: hexahedrals [ 43 ] and tetrahedrals [ 44 ]; in these studies, plenty of references are given towards the use of the different discretization methods. In this research, the mesh consisted of tetrahedral elements for the whole body of the implant.…”

“…In the same direction, Semansjki et al [33] investigated the integration of data generated through the mobile devices and the social media activities can be integrated to Smart City sustainable mobility planning. Having been successfully applied on various domains [34,35], machine learning techniques could eventually lead to "intelligent" mobility criteria, contributing to the decision making, planning and overall sustainable mobility policy of modern Smart Cities. Institutional Review Board Statement: All procedures performed in studies involving human participants were in accordance with the ethical standards of the institutional and/or national research committee and with the 1964 Helsinki declaration and its later amendments or comparable ethical standards.…”
