Developing the role of the AP in NHS Scotland

Abstract: The following article provides a description of the NHS Tayside Assistant Practitioner Project. It discusses the background as to why the project was undertaken and describes the actions and key outcomes. This may be of interest to HSWs as an indication that there is scope for further development of the Assistant Practitioner (AP) role, providing opportunities for career progression.
