Abstract: A wound is a type of physical trauma where in the skin is torn, cut or punctured. Wound may be broadly classified in to open wounds and closed wounds. Incisions or incised wounds, irregular tear-like wounds, superficial wounds, Puncture wounds and penetration wounds falls under the open wound category.
