Abstract:Background: The COVID-19 pandemic has created unprecedented challenges to health service delivery around the world, with an adverse impact on doctors-in-training. However, creating an opportunity to utilise and apply digital tools to replace most, if not all, face-to-face teaching. The aim of this study was to ascertain the feasibility and effectiveness of virtual training of basic surgical skills using the Kirkpatrick model of curriculum evaluation.
