“…An additional limitation is that due to our inclusion criteria, some of the results may not be relevant for parents of children without disabilities. Similar research with parents of children without disability did not nd problems in answering the environmental sections [24]. It could be that parents of children with disabilities, who face more environmental barriers compared to parents of children without disabilities [23,49,50], display more di culties in answering questions in the environment section.…”

This Chinese version was translated from the original YC-PEM and adapted into the local context by following the guidelines provided by the YC-PEM's authors and other researchers [37,38]. Internal consistency of the Chinese YC-PEM was acceptable for the frequency dimension (Cronbach's alpha = 0.42-0.70) and for the involvement dimension (0.73-0.77), which was comparable to the original YC-PEM [34].…”

“…The future studies to look into psychometric properties of the Thai PedsQL NMM is crucial. Future studies could look into testing of construct validity using either exploratory factor analysis or confirmatory factor analysis [ 33 ], to examine the criterion-related validity of PedsQL with other validated questionnaire (administered both Thai PedsQL generic questionnaire [ 9 ] and Thai PedsQL NMM in the same (children with NMD) population, and to use other type of testing theory (e.g. Rasch model) to provide other psychometric information for the Thai PedsQL NMM [ 34 ].…”
