Abstract: Cetrimide (CE) is a quaternary ammonium compound and a cationic surfactant, which can be used as an antiseptic and preservative in various formulations. Antiseptic solutions of Cetrimide are available in combination with Chlorhexidine Gluconate (CHG) for external use.
