Development, implementation and evaluation of an evidence‐based practice model in a new hospital in Chile

Abstract: Safe, quality patient care is a recurring concern for health care institutions in Chile. A report published by the Lancet Global Health Commission explains that many countries exhibit systematic deficits in health care quality, with developing countries being the most affected (Kruk et al., 2018). The report adds that providing health care services without guaranteeing minimum quality standards is unethical, inefficient and a waste of scarce resources (Kruk et al., 2018).
