Abstract: Water splitting has emerged as a sustainable, renewable and zero-carbon-based energy source. Water undergoes hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) and oxygen evolution reaction (OER) during electrolysis. However, among these half-cell reactions, OER is more energy demanding.
