Abstract:“Power-to-Methane” approaches allow the storage and transport of green methane, produced from renewable energy and any CO2 source. In nature, some microorganisms, namely methanogens, can grow on CO2 and H2...
“…In addition, they were coupled to a bioreactor carrying out the continuous conversion of CO 2 with “as produced” H 2 into green methane (without any compression, heating or storage step prior to use). 40 Consequently, the H 2 flow at the IPEC outlet was regulated using a control system that only allows H 2 to evacuate above a pressure of 20 mbar. 31…”
Thermally integrated photoelectrochemical cells made of perovskite/silicon tandem solar cells and PEM electrolysers were scaled in modules up to 342 cm2. Direct hydrogen production was demonstrated outdoors with a STH efficiency of 6.3%.
