Scientific and technological schedule makes the products’ life cycles be becoming shorter. The companies should make product research and putting into the market more rapidly. Product rapid development and popularization depends on project management, and project schedule optimization is the core of project management. The structure of the project schedule optimization was detailed analysis and mobile agent was import in project schedule optimization system. The event model of mobile agent, the moving process, the model of aglet and the implement method of mobile agent in project schedule optimization system were introduced. This analysis shows the mobile agent the internal structure and negotiation algorithm abundantly. It will play a guiding role for the development of the whole project schedule optimization system and the application of the mobile agent in the project schedule optimization system.

In the current distributed manufacturing environment, more extensive enterprise cooperation is an effective means for shipbuilding companies to increase the competitiveness. However, considering the project scale and the uneven production capacity between the collaborative enterprises, a key issue for shipbuilding companies is to effectively combine the product-oriented project tasks and the specialized production-oriented plants. Due to information privatization, the decision-making process of project planning and scheduling is distributed and symmetric. Existing project scheduling methods and collaboration mechanisms in the shipbuilding industry are somehow inefficient. The aim of the research is to provide an assistant decision-making method to support effective task dispatching and multi-party cooperation for better utilization of the distributed resources and to help project managers control the shipbuilding process. The article initially establishes an agent-based complex shipbuilding project collaborative planning and symmetric scheduling framework, simulating the distributed collaborative decision-making process and bridging the multi-project planning with the individual project scheduling in much detail, which fills the research gap. A negotiation method based on iterative combination auction (ICA) is further proposed to solve the integration problem of project planning and task scheduling, and an illustrative example is conducted to demonstrate the effectiveness and rationality of the methods. Finally, an application case using a prototype system on shipbuilding projects collaborative planning and scheduling will be reported as a result.

We study an agent-based scheduling problem of two identical parallel machines:. The machines and tasks are regarded as agents. A new multi-agent scheduling model is proposed to achieve the optimum from the two task agents, agent A and agent B. The objective is divided into two classes. The objectives of agent A and agent B are to minimize the total tardiness time and minimize the makespan, respectively. In this article, we research two identical parallel machines in which one job category can be processed by one machine agent only or two machine agents and propose a new multi-agent model for two identical parallel machines, divided into two subsystems. For subsystem 1, the shortest processing time order is used to solve job priorities. A single distribution strategy is proposed to assign jobs to machine agents and is applied to the dynamic scheduling environment. For subsystem 2, a centralized distribution strategy is applied to the static scheduling environment. The proposed model performs more efficiently and is better able to handle complex and dynamic scheduling environments.
