Development of a high-temperature superconducting bus conductor with large current capacity

Abstract: A high-temperature superconducting (HTS) bus conductor with a capacity of 20 kA and 5 m long has been constructed. The HTS bus was wound by hermetic stainless-steel-reinforced multifilamentary Bi2223/Ag tapes. Its structure is multilayer by clockwise and anticlockwise winding with different winding spiral pitch and angle based on a conventional uniform current approach.
