“…Broad-specific mAbs were developed for the detection of total aflatoxins (AFs) (AFB 1 , aflatoxin B 2 (AFB 2 ), aflatoxin G 1 (AFG 1 ) and aflatoxin G 2 (AFG 2 )), with a low half maximal inhibitory concentration (IC 50 ) in the range of 0.04 µg kg −1 to 0.06 µg kg −1 . This was achieved by incorporating an AFB 1 modified with O-carboxymethyl oxime (AFB 1 -CMO), which is known to produce broad-specific mAbs, as the hapten in antibody production, followed by cell fusion with hybridoma technology [ 28 ]. There are other commercial monoclonal antibody isolation techniques that are available, and they vary depending on the intended application of the antibodies.…”
