“…Various design methods and realizations of conformal slotted waveguide antenna arrays (CSWAAs) have been proposed so far in the literature [3]- [9]. These works present the analysis [3]- [6] and design [7]- [9] of slot antennas in the curved broad wall perpendicular to the conformation axis. (e-mail: haris_stou@hotmail.com, {charalampos.stoumpos; maria.garcia-vigueras}@insa-rennes.fr).…”

“…To fight these difficulties, Radwan et al [3] have investigated the possibility to reduce the side lobe level by using a bended slotted rectangular waveguide, or in the study by Maritz [4] by designing slotted waveguides with Z-shape slots engraved in the broad wall of the waveguide. In Traille et al [5], a novel faceted conformal slotted waveguide is studied for a full 360° azimuth tracking application. Moreover, in this reference, the authors developed a center-fed narrow-wall slotted waveguide array with an H-shape T junction to extend bandwidth and to obtain a broadside radiation (without any scanning of beam vs. frequency).…”

“…e array elements are synthesized using the Dolph-Chebyshev technique, and the presented array operates in the frequency range of 400-800 MHz. In [12], a conformal rectangular waveguide (RWG) is presented for aircraft applications. It covered 360°azimuth angle for scanning purpose in the frequency range of 16-16.6 GHz.…”

“…It is worth mentioning that the designs presented in [11][12][13][14][15] are simulation based and their experimental or analytical validation is not available. In [16], an analytical design approach is adopted and equations are presented for a cylindrical curved slot array.…”
