Abstract

First of all I would like to acknowledge my heartfelt gratitude to my Ph. D. project supervisor, Professor Tay Beng Kang for his helpful guidance, encouraging and supporting throughout the whole Ph. D. study, especially the times when I met difficulties, not only in my research work, but also in my life. He has also been given my many creative ideas for the area of my research.
