Development of a Satz-Mogel Short Form of the WAIS—R.

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to develop a short form of the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale-Revised (WAIS-R). Following the model suggested by Satz and Mogel, the short form of the WAIS-R Full-Scale IQ correlated highly with the WAIS-R IQ (r = .98) in a sample of 107 subjects. When statistical corrections are made for item overlap between the two forms, the resulting correlation drops to .90.
