Abstract:A b þ -g discrimination set-up was developed and applied to the 22 Na radioisotope. The radioisotope emits positrons (b þ ) and these positrons create g rays by annihilating with electrons. These annihilation g rays were used here, and the discrimination between these positrons and g rays was investigated by the coincidence measurement between time signals and the energy signals.
