Abstract:This paper explores the implementation of a solenoid field to achieve electron beam focusing and compensation of transverse emittance, which is generated from photocathode RF gun. An extensive investigation was conducted to determine the optimal solenoid magnetic field required for focusing an electron bunch with a charge of 0.5 nC.
