To measure biosignals constantly, using textile-integrated or even textile-based electrodes and miniaturized electronics, is ideal to provide maximum comfort for patients or athletes during monitoring. While in former times, this was usually solved by integrating specialized electronics into garments, either connected to a handheld computer or including a wireless data transfer option, nowadays increasingly smaller single circuit boards are available, e.g., single-board computers such as Raspberry Pi or microcontrollers such as Arduino, in various shapes and dimensions. This review gives an overview of studies found in the recent scientific literature, reporting measurements of biosignals such as ECG, EMG, sweat and other health-related parameters by single circuit boards, showing new possibilities offered by Arduino, Raspberry Pi etc. in the mobile long-term acquisition of biosignals. The review concentrates on the electronics, not on textile electrodes about which several review papers are available.

The increasing number of pandemic issues require to pay attention to health conditions and social distance. The explicit sign of COVID-19 is body fever. It is a simple and affordable detection method when compared to other blood tests. However, it is required to be physically close to a visitor to measure body temperature. For this reason, we have designed and developed a low-cost microprocessor measurement system with an infrared non-contact temperature sensor, and a Bluetooth for sending to long distance. Android application has been developed to read and set the alarm function using a smart telephone or a tablet far from the visitors. With the help of these circuit and application designs, body temperatures can be checked from long distance considering the pandemic situations. The printed circuit of the microcontroller, Bluetooth, sensor, and light-dependent resistor (LDR) triggering are manufactured, and the software of the controller and the application are integrated and tested successfully.

With the continuous development of industrial automation, the requirement of monitoring system in industrial field is higher and higher. Various advanced computer technology, sensing technology and communication technology are more and more appearing in industrial field. Touch screen or computer are usually used to realize the visual monitoring of industrial production line. This monitoring system based on C/S mode is widely used. With its advantages, the monitoring system based on B/S mode is gradually applied to smart home, telemedicine, agriculture, power system and other occasions. The monitoring system based on B/S mode has more advantages in structure and application than C/S mode. How to further expand the application of B/S mode monitoring system is the key to upgrade and replace the current industrial monitoring system. The industrial Web monitoring system based on ARM proposed in this paper can improve the current monitoring system having practical significance both economically and technically.
