With the advancement of science and technology and the further improvement of people’s living standards, tourism has become a hot topic in today’s society. This paper is aimed at studying the development of a smart tourism service platform using artificial intelligence recognition technology and automatic program design. This paper proposes functions such as online ticket booking through the design of intelligent access control in scenic spots (combined with intelligent voice, face recognition, and other technologies), scenic miniprograms, and WeChat public accounts. Tourists can collect tickets automatically through the intelligent assistant designed by the intelligent service system. This allows tourists to consult and interact with intelligent machine assistants, reducing human-to-human contact during travel, thereby reducing the probability of epidemic infection (mainly spread by coughing or sneezing, close contact with sick people, touching contaminated surfaces, etc.). Finally, the smart tourism service platform is promoted, and an online questionnaire survey is conducted on 2,000 tourists who use the service platform to understand the actual use of the system. The results of the questionnaire survey showed that among the 2,000 tourists’ evaluations, 55.15% were satisfied with the system, 41.5% were very satisfied, 3.1% felt average, 0.25% felt dissatisfied, and 0% were very dissatisfied. At the same time, a large number of positive evaluation words were received in the feedback results of tourists, which shows that the smart service system designed in this paper is very popular with tourists. Meanwhile, a great deal of positive evaluation words were received in the feedback results of tourists (such as full of technology, special convenience, and special safety). This shows that the intelligent service system designed in this paper is very popular with tourists.

With the rapid development of science and technology and the rapid development of network applications, the Internet era has been promoted, and the popularity of smart phones has made great changes in people’s way of life. More and more rely on mobile phone applications to deal with the scale of life. At the same time, with the improvement of material living standard, people pay more attention to the pursuit of spiritual life, travel will become the perfect choice to relax body and mind, and smart phone tourism application (tourism app) is the basic way to realize intelligent tourism. The National Tourism Administration of the people’s Republic of China issued a holiday tourism information circular saying that during the 2012 Mid-Autumn Festival National Day Golden week, 119 scenic spots in the country received 34.2456 million tourists, an increase of 40.7 percent over the same period last year, and the number of tourism complaints increased significantly. Tourist satisfaction is not optimistic. Intelligent tourism is the inevitable trend of the development of tourism in the world, and strategic demand for the transformation and upgrading of tourism in China.

When it was designated as a World Cultural Heritage (WCH) in 2012, there were 14 Subak organizations formed in Catur Angga Batukaru Area. However, it seems that only Subak Jatiluwih has the privilege to experience rapid development as a tourism destination. The other 13 Subak area in Catur Angga Batukaru has not been well developed. The beauty of their rice terraces, plantation fields, temples and rivers has not been appropriately exposed to the tourists. Further studies are required to investigate the potencies of 13 Subak areas in the Catur Angga Batukaru Area as tourism destinations. An adequate management model would properly assess the potencies of these areas and simultaneously enhance the farmers' well-being, improve the tourist satisfaction level and conserve the environment. The existence of the 13 Subak in Catur Angga Batukaru and its potencies should have developed through the agro-ecotourism-based management model. Hence, this study aimed to organize a Subak-based agro-ecotourism management model in the WCH of Catur Angga Batukaru. The study’s primary data were collected from farmers’ respondents through a direct survey using a questionnaire prepared prior to the data collection. In-depth interviews were also conducted to gather the study data. This study applied qualitative and quantitative descriptive methods. Findings revealed that the rest of the areas required to be properly built in the WCH of Catur Angga Batukaru Area. These areas would provide spaces to enjoy the beauty of the Subak terraces and the local plantation fields. Hiking tourism in this area has been developed by the Subak organizations and local travel agents under the surveillance of the local tourism departments. Several tourism supporting facilities such as restaurants and home stays also should have been managed by Subak or local investors. It would help the tourism sites to directly contribute to the well-being of the local community, especially the members of Subak. The future management of agro-ecotourism is also required to involve all Subak organizations in the area. A proper management model not only helps Subak to present themselves as the main subject of a tourism program but also makes them capable to experience the advantageous impacts of the agro-ecotourism development.
