Technological developments have a considerable influence on education, especially in learning media. Learning media is no longer conventional but is starting adapted with existing technology. The results of the initial observations found that the majority of senior high schools already have facilities for technology-based learning media, but the utilization of technology-based learning media is still very low. This resulted in less utilization of school facilities which already provided. Based on these observations and references from existing researches, it is assumed that e-learning, which is one of the technology-based learning media, can be used as a learning media for blended learning models. This research purpose was to produce an e-learning as learning media and the assessment level of practicality. This research used the Research and Development’s method with four-D development procedures to examine the level of practicality. To assess the level of practicality of e-learning, an assessment through a questionnaire was given to randomly selected subjects. The practicality assessment questionnaire consists of three main indicators such as indicators state of use, effectiveness of learning time and indicators of benefits. Referring to the results of the assessment, the average level of e-learning’s practicality is 80.70% so it can be concluded that e-learning is practical to be used as a learning media.

Background/ Objectives: The use of technology such as Learning Management System (LMS) is helpful during the pandemic to enforce distance learning in public schools in the Philippines. The Department of Education (DepEd) introduced various formats and platforms to teachers to cope with the situation mentioned and to attain continuous learning amidst any circumstances. However, in some cases like in Lananpin National High School (LNHS) which used to implement traditional method, modernization without consideration of technological acceptability issues has reduced the influence of e-learning and the desired academic achievement. In this regard, the researchers conducted this study to find out the level of acceptability and usability of i-lnhs; a learning management system for Lananpin National High School using an e-learning platform, Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment (Moodle), to address the existing learning gaps. The objective of this research is to examine the implementation of i-lnhs to help the teachers and students facilitate learning and easily monitor students' progress. Methods: This study used a descriptive and developmental research design. A questionnaire survey was used to assess teacher and student acceptance in implementation, content validity, and technological acceptability. Respondents were purposively chosen; 11 senior high school teachers and 40 senior high students. Data was obtained using Google Forms and was analyzed thereafter. Findings: The result showed that the implementation of i-lnhs in terms of functions and capability requirements, user interface and design, content validity, technical quality, and usability were acceptable to teachers and students. Therefore, the use of this technology could address the gaps of distance learning and the skepticism of teachers and students to adapt shift in learning methodology.

Una de las aplicaciones informáticas utilizadas internacionalmente es la plataforma interactiva Moodle por ser de código abierto y libre distribución. La investigación que se presenta tiene como objetivo focalizar la problemática del rechazo por la Física en los estudiantes de 1er año del Curso Regular Diurno de la carrera Licenciatura en Educación-Biología, en la Facultad de Educación Media de la Universidad Central “Marta Abreu” de Las Villas, Cuba, razón por la cual se utilizaron los foros desde el entorno virtual de aprendizaje, desarrollado sobre la plataforma Moodle en la asignatura “Temas de Física” durante los cursos académicos 2017-2020, en apoyo al proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje de la asignatura en la modalidad presencial. En la investigación realizada se utilizaron diversos métodos teóricos y empíricos. Para la recopilación de la información se emplearon la observación participante, análisis de testimonios, grupos de discusión y reflexión, registro de evaluaciones, entrevistas en profundidad y diario, así como métodos de procesamiento de la información recopilada, tanto intelectuales como estadísticos. Los foros elaborados fueron sometidos a la valoración por criterios de expertos. La información obtenida se analizó siguiendo el proceso de triangulación, lo que evidenció que los foros incidieron de manera favorable en los resultados alcanzados por los estudiantes en su aprendizaje y en el aumento de la motivación por la asignatura. La utilización de los foros revela resultados novedosos que aportan soluciones desde diferentes aristas, en particular el aula virtual.
