Development of S band antenna for Nanosatellite

Abstract: In this paper, a circularly polarized, high gain, patch antenna with low axial ratio dedicated for S band nanosatellite communications is presented. Four asymmetric Vshaped slits in the diagonal directions on the square patches and a parasitic element are introduced to create circularly polarized (CP) radiation with a large axial ratio beamwidth.
