Development of the simultaneous analysis of choline salicylate, lidocaine hydrochloride and preservatives in a new dental gel by HPLC method

Abstract: A new high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method for the simultaneous quantitative determination of active pharmaceutical substances and preservatives in a new dental medication has been developed. The optimization of HPLC method parameters was done through studies of a mobile phase composition and a detection wavelength. Our developing method uses an ACE C18 column (250 × 4.6 mm, 5 µm) and a gradient mode for separation with the acetonitrile and phosphate buffer solution (adjusted to pH 3.0) as mobi… Show more

“…Previous literature reports have described the quantication of both drugs for various purposes. Methods for quantifying LD were developed in conjunction with preservatives 18 and other drugs, serving as antiseptics, 19 antiparasitic, 20 antifungal, 20 anti-inammatory, 21 analgesic, 22 mucolytic, 23 antiviral 24,25 and corticosteroids. 21 Additionally, other validated methods exist for determining the drug in polymeric matrices, [26][27][28] plasma, 29,30 and in new topical dosage forms.…”

“…This drug is used to reduce pain during some medical operations. [5][6][7] Raising the threshold for electrical excitation in nerves causes numbness in the mouth, throat, or nose before these procedures. [5][6][7] By decreasing the spread of nerve impulses and lowering the pace at which action potentials rise, it successfully prevents the creation and conduction of nerve impulses.…”
