Abstract:In this article, we set out to assess opportunities for the development of tourism in mining regions in the Scandinavian and Kola Peninsulas, as well as to identify threats arising from these activities in comparison with known examples. It is assumed that the Arctic zone can become a promising place for the development of tourism and urbanization in the future.
