The Saler's Devesa is a case of a failed tourist project to urbanize a historical protected forest inside the metropolitan area of València in Spain. In the 1970s, the government started actions to urbanize this area. In fact, all the public works and some buildings were built. However, in the 1980s the new democratic government decided to rewild the area and "deconstruct" the urban development works that had already been built. The case allows knowing the process of rewilding and the difficulties to do it. On the other hand, currently in developed countries, metropolitan areas simultaneously present a stabilized population and a great surface extension. In this situation, the sustainability of these urban areas has focused on managing the city already consolidated by renovation or regeneration processes and rewilding open spaces, developing green infrastructures. Because of this, we focused our attention on researching one of the few cases that exists on rewilding urban areas. The green infrastructure concept has been used in the case of La Devesa to maintain and increase ecosystem services. In addition, these actions allow promotion of ecological tourism inside the area. The research question is "What should be the idea of society's progress when touristic urban development growth is no longer possible or desirable?" The article analyses the historical process of rewilding and rethinking the idea of progress in the current situation.

ResumenEl palacio del embajador Vich fue uno de los principales edificios renacentistas de Valencia. A pesar de haber sido derribado a mediados del siglo xix, el traslado de las piezas de su patio a las colecciones del Museo de Bellas Artes ha permitido su reconstrucción reciente y que haya sido objeto de varios estudios y monografías. Menor fortuna tuvo su singular portada principal, que solo conocemos por un grabado decimonónico y un pedestal hallado en 1999. El presente texto tiene por objeto profundizar en esta pieza desaparecida y proponer algunas hipótesis sobre su posible autoría e influencias.Palabras clave: Embajador Vich; arquitectura renacentista; Luis Muñoz; Gabriel Joly; Juan de Salas; Jerónimo Quijano; Diego de Siloé Abstract On the Renaissance gateway of the palace of Ambassador Vich in ValenciaThe palace of Ambassador Vich once stood as one of the main Renaissance buildings in Valencia. In spite of having been demolished in the mid-nineteenth century, pieces of the inner courtyard have recently been reconstructed and are the object of several studies and monographs after being transferred to the collections of the Fine Arts Museum. The palace's singular main gate, which we know only from a nineteenthcentury engraving and a plinth found in 1999, has met a worse fate. This article aims to examine this missing piece in depth and propose some hypotheses about its possible authorship and influences.

El presente artículo tiene como objetivo analizar el panorama general existente en torno a la problemática ambiental y la búsqueda de alternativas éticas y responsables en los distintos ámbitos y a través de los distintos actores involucrados como lo son gobierno, sector empresarial y sociedad civil como consumidores. Considera a la economía circular como una opción para mitigar los daños medioambientales y alcanzar los objetivos de la agenda 2030. El estudio se realiza a través de una revisión de literatura amplia y extensa, con un enfoque analítico. Incluye ejemplos o casos destacados de acuerdo con cada tema de investigación o tratado en el artículo. Los resultados reflejan las iniciativas existentes para contribuir al cuidado del medio ambiente y los casos considerados como de éxito, pero también de aquellos señalados como poco éticos que se han desarrollado principalmente en torno a las empresas. La problemática ambiental demanda una enérgica búsqueda de alternativas responsables en los distintos ámbitos que caracterizan a la vida social de las naciones, al final del artículo se presentan algunas consideraciones finales.
